TV remote widgets for iPhone and Android
Pause, mute or turn the volume down without opening an app. Rimokon puts remote keys on your home screen, your lock screen, in Control Center and in Android's Quick Settings, and you design each widget yourself.
On iPhone
Rimokon's keys can go in three places on an iPhone:
- Home Screen widgets in small, medium and large.
- Lock Screen widgets: a round one with one key, a rectangular one with up to three, and a line of text with the TV's name.
- Controls (iOS 18 and later): one key each, in Control Center, on the Lock Screen or on the Action button.
On Android
Home screen widgets in 2×2, 4×1, 4×2, 4×3 and 4×4, which you can drag in from the widget list or add straight from the app where your launcher allows it. Up to three Quick Settings tiles each send the key you choose: Play/Pause, Mute and Power to begin with. On Android 13 and later the app can add a tile for you.
Designed in the app
Settings › Widgets uses the same editor as the remote. Start from a ready-made widget or a blank one in the size you want, then add, drag and resize keys. The widgets take your accent colour and appearance from the app.
A widget on your home screen keeps showing the layout you picked for it. Change that layout in the app and every widget showing it updates; make a new one and nothing you've placed changes. The app tells you where each layout is in use.
How to add a Rimokon widget
Design it in the app, then place it like any other widget.
- 1

Choose its layout on iPhone
Touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, then choose Layout to pick which one it shows. - 4
Place it on Android
Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, tap Widgets, find Rimokon, drag it onto the Home Screen and pick a layout.
Good to know
Widget keys are single presses, so they're made for the everyday keys: play and pause, volume, mute, power, the d-pad. Holding a key, the trackpad, typing and Talk stay in the app.
Keys work from the lock screen without unlocking, once you've unlocked the phone after a restart. Widgets work with TVs and streamers running Google TV or Android TV.
