Type on your TV with your phone, and talk to it
Spelling a title one letter at a time with arrow keys is the slowest part of watching TV. With Rimokon you type into the TV's search box with your phone's own keyboard, or press Talk and say what you want.
Your phone's keyboard, on the TV
When a search box or text field on the TV is waiting for text, the keyboard opens on your phone by itself. Type, and the letters appear on the TV as you go, so you can stop as soon as the right title shows up.
Some apps on the TV don't take text the usual way. When Rimokon notices that nothing landed, it types the rest as key presses instead, so the text still gets there.
Talk instead of typing
Press Talk on the remote and say it. Depending on the TV and what's on screen, the TV listens through your phone's microphone, or your phone turns your words into text and types it for you.
Talk is on the built-in remote layouts, and you can put it wherever you want on a layout of your own.
How to type on the TV with your phone
Works on Google TV and Android TV, over your home Wi-Fi.
- 1
Connect to your TV
Open Rimokon on your phone and connect to the TV. Phone and TV need to be on the same Wi-Fi. - 2
Open a search box on the TV
Go to search in any app on the TV. The keyboard opens on your phone. - 3
Type or talk
Type with your phone's keyboard and watch the text appear on the TV, or press Talk and say it.
Which TVs it works on
Typing and Talk from the phone work on TVs and streamers running Google TV or Android TV. On other systems, the remote's arrow keys and the TV's own on-screen keyboard still work as usual.
