A TV remote app with no ads
Many TV remote apps pay for themselves with ads. Rimokon doesn't show any: not on the remote, not in your lists, not in Ask. When you reach for the remote, you get the remote.
Nothing between you and the TV
No banners under the keys, no videos to sit through between presses, no sponsored titles in your picks. The remote is the whole screen, and every key does what it says.
Paid for by the people who use it
Rimokon is free for 30 days, and you don't need a card to start. After that you choose a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, right in the app. That's how Rimokon is paid for, instead of ads.
No advertising profile
The app contains no advertising or product-analytics services. Your data isn't sold, and it isn't used to build an advertising profile or show you targeted ads. Your questions to Ask aren't used for advertising either.
Rimokon notes which TV apps and titles your household opens, to personalise the Watch tab, and sends crash reports so problems get fixed. Never what you type or say, and you can turn both off under Settings › Privacy.
What you get instead
The time and screen space go to things that help you watch:
- Ask, which finds something to watch on the services you have.
- Lists you share with your household.
- A remote you can lay out yourself, with keys for your shows and apps.
- Widgets, and remotes for Apple Watch and Wear OS.
